General Information

The Estrella Galicia factory is located in the industrial estate of A Grela in A Coruña. All the beer brands of the corporation have been produced in its facilities since the early 70s when the main building was constructed, which also holds the offices of a large number of employees. Annexed to this is a recently completed building containing the brew house, increasing the size of the existing offices, industrial area and warehouse space.

Hijos de Rivera produces 200 million litres a year of its different beer brands in its A Coruña factory. A 100% natural production process based on water, malted barley, hops and corn, completed with exclusive yeast strains which come from Germany on a monthly basis. This production cycle results in Estrella Galicia Especial, Estrella Galicia 0,0, Estrella Galicia Sin Gluten, Estrella Galicia Pilsen, Shandy Estrella Galicia, 1906 Reserva Especial, 1906 Red Vintage and 1906 Black Coupage.

En la etapa de ebullición del mosto se adicionan las tres variedades de lúpulo cultivado en Galicia (Nugget, Sladek y Admiral). A beer that, without pasteurisation, arrives directly from our brewery to the point of sale. The absence of pasteurisation requires it to be transported cold via a network of specialized vehicles and our own employees. On premises and in trucks, the characteristic tanks maintain their refrigeration qualities and the same levels of carbonic gas with which it leaves our brewery. Its freshness and these particular characteristics give it its own sensory attributes, making it a different beer.
